First chiropractic visits

The Initial Examination

During your first chiropractic appointment, you can expect a session lasting approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. This appointment is essential for gaining a thorough understanding of your health and establishing an accurate diagnosis. The process begins even before you arrive at the clinic, with a detailed health questionnaire to complete online. This form allows your chiropractor to better understand your needs and medical history.

Once at the clinic, your appointment will begin with a discussion about your health history and the reason for your visit. Your chiropractor will then perform a comprehensive physical examination to assess various aspects of your condition. This may include neurological, orthopedic, muscular, and postural assessments. Depending on the findings, a radiological examination may also be recommended and performed directly at our clinic.

The Patient Report of Findings

Following the initial examination, during a second visit—or immediately afterward in urgent cases—your chiropractor will explain your diagnosis, examination results, and available treatment options in detail. The goal is to ensure that you fully understand your condition and the care available to you, allowing you to make an informed decision about your treatment.

Chiropractic Treatments

Each chiropractic treatment is unique and tailored to your individual needs. After discussing your options with your chiropractor, you will work together to determine which approaches are best suited to your situation. Chiropractic adjustments, which involve spinal or joint manipulation, are among the most commonly used techniques. There are several types of adjustments, each adapted to different patient populations, ranging from HVLA mobilizations to gentle adjustments for children.

In addition to adjustments, your chiropractor may use complementary techniques such as spinal decompression, instrument-assisted muscle therapies, taping, or other therapeutic modalities, such as ultrasound. You will also receive recommendations to help you become more independent in managing your health, including ergonomic advice, specific exercises, and suggestions for improving your daily habits and lifestyle.
