WHAT IF VALENTINE’S DAY WAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO FIND ROMANTIC LOVE…
How to explain that so many couples have difficulty maintaining the flame?
Cultivating this love is a matter of choice, priorities and requires commitment.
Choosing routine, forgetting yourself in the role of parents, not taking care of yourself or the other, no longer seeing yourself as lovers who have fun as in the beginning before children or a professional career, no longer giving each other dates where we seduce each other or dressing up for each other…
To get closer to each other, we have to rebuild what we had at the beginning of the relationship, in our romantic love.
Yes but how?
When both people invest in the relationship by treating their partner as they did in the happier moments of their union, the latter becomes a source of pleasure again.
Why not start by each making a list of things the other could do to bring pleasure? (And no, washing the dishes or taking out the garbage is not on this list!)
Example:
- I would like a massage,
- That you bring me breakfast in bed,
- I would like you to welcome me after work by being attractive…
As a Valentine’s Day gift, we share this list… This exercise allows us to reconnect with moments of pleasure, it also opens the door to intimacy and closeness.
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY !
