His practice focuses primarily on the assessment and treatment of foot and lower-limb injuries in runners and athletes, ranging from recreational participants to elite athletes.<\/p>\n
Before beginning his studies in podiatric medicine, he earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in kinesiology from the University of Ottawa, where he developed a strong interest in biomechanics, injury prevention, and athletic performance. He then earned a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Universit\u00e9 du Qu\u00e9bec \u00e0 Trois-Rivi\u00e8res, followed by a master\u2019s degree in kinesiology from the Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al to further his knowledge of biomechanics and lower-limb injury rehabilitation.<\/p>\n
To further his expertise in sports medicine, Dr. Del Duchetto completed a postgraduate diploma in sports podiatry at Queen Mary University of London. In addition to his clinical practice, he conducts research in biomechanics and sports medicine. As the lead author of a scientific paper on the use of foot orthotics in the treatment of running-related injuries, he prioritizes an evidence-based clinical approach.<\/p>\n
He has a particular interest in the management of musculoskeletal injuries related to running and sports. He works with athletes of all levels to assess, treat, and prevent injuries, with the goal of facilitating a safe and sustainable return to training. In particular, he offers a biomechanical running analysis service conducted in collaboration with the clinic\u2019s physical therapists, using an interdisciplinary approach aimed at better understanding the biomechanical factors associated with injuries and optimizing the return to training.<\/p>\n
Outside the clinic, Dr. Del Duchetto is himself an avid endurance athlete.
