Kinesitherapy is a movement therapy to treat all musculoskeletal pain and the lack of range of motion.
This treatment can:
- reduce muscle and joint ankylosis,
- reduce muscle spasms and
- normalize body posture and movement.
But beware! If you have acute problems like muscle, tendon and ligament tear, avoid this treatment. Instead, consult a chiropractor or physiotherapist at that time to assess the injury.
Before treating, we need to do joint mobility tests to verify the specific issues.
We are going to give you a small test to check if there is compression at the level of the brachial plexus (C5 to T1): Keep the arm elevated for 10 sec. If you are unable to do this or develop numbness or pain in your shoulder, that means the test is positive.
In this case, you should contact your therapist to relieve spinal compression and relax the shoulder and neck muscles.
These are a few bits of knowledge that I hope will have helped you. If you have any questions, contact us.
